Best Entertainment for body-horror execution

#1

The unsettling spider anatomy, contortions and grotesque transformations give the superhero premise an unusually strange horror edge.

#2

Facial injuries, fused eyelids and inventive transformations deliver memorable gross-out thrills. Enthusiasts disagree on whether the film commits far enough to body horror, especially once the revenge plot takes over.

#3

The cycle of dying, regeneration and returning in new forms is imaginative but also disquieting, even within the series’ familiar grotesque style.
