Compare Roborock S8 + Robot Vacuum vs eufy X10 Pro Omni Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

Setup, app control, room selection, scheduling, and routine operation are repeatedly described as simple. The product is largely hands-off once maps and routines are configured.

Ease of use was strong, with reviewers emphasizing automation, fewer hiccups, and quiet operation.

Reviewers find the robot confident around chairs, furniture legs, thresholds, and tight routes, with few rescues needed. Loose floor clutter remains the main handling risk.

Threshold handling was inconsistent, which lowered maneuverability.

Light mopping can finish cleanly, but high water settings or a dirty pad may leave sticky areas, smears, or streaks. Extra passes and pad rinsing improve the result.

Residue and streaking were excellent in one test, with no puddles or streaks after mopping.

The dual rubber rollers sharply reduce hair clogs and redepositing compared with bristled rollers. Reviewers rarely needed to stop a run for detangling.

Clogging prevention was mixed because one reviewer still had to manually dislodge a stubborn dust patch.

LiDAR mapping, obstacle detection, no-go zones, and good threshold climbing keep rescues uncommon. Loose socks, wires, and unusually small hazards can still stop or confuse it.

Stuck resistance was limited by raised thresholds in one review.

Single-level apartments and smaller homes are especially well suited because the robot can cover the space without being carried between floors. The premium price may still be overkill for very small areas.

Small-space suitability was weak because the base and robot are bulky.

Runtime is ample for large routine jobs, with reports ranging from roughly 90 minutes at maximum power to 180 minutes in quiet mode. Recharge-and-resume extends coverage further.

Runtime was only moderate because a full vacuum-and-mop routine could outlast the available charge.

The bagged dock and HEPA filtration keep routine debris contained and suit allergy-conscious or pet-owning homes. Washable filters also help extend service life.

Dust containment was improved by the pre-filter, but dust still stuck inside and required manual dislodging.

Dual rollers and extensive software controls feel advanced, but some hardware choices are conservative or simplified. Reviewers noted that rival models may offer cameras, taller mop lift, or more automated docks.

Review evidence framed the X10 as offering many flagship-like features for less money.

The mop is designed around water rather than a supplied cleaning solution. Reviewers who prefer detergent saw this as a limitation on stain-fighting power.

Cleaning-solution feedback was moderate: it smelled good in one review, but cost and brand-solution warnings were a caveat.

Medium-pile carpet surfaces clean well, but one detailed test found dirt remaining deeper in the fibers. It is better for maintenance cleaning than deep extraction.

Medium-pile carpet pickup was mostly strong, especially in deep-clean testing, though one reviewer called carpet performance only okay.

A detailed suction test found weak extraction from deeper floor gaps, with debris removed only from very shallow grooves.

Crevice pickup was a weakness in Vacuum Wars testing.

Fine-dust and sand pickup on hard floors is consistently strong, reaching 99 percent in one test. Some controlled edge tests still left a small amount behind.

Fine dust pickup on hard floors was adequate but not class-leading unless settings and passes were increased.

Carpet sensing and automatic mop lifting make mixed hard-floor and rug runs convenient. Very thick rugs may still contact the modestly raised mop pad.

Area rug handling was mixed: some reviewers trusted carpet detection, while others saw wetting or rug mopping issues.

The sonic mop handles light dried food, coffee, ketchup, and juice better than many robot mops. Tough sticky messes can require repeated passes, pad rinsing, or a manual mop.

Dried-on stain removal was a standout strength in testing.

Automatic mop lifting is highly useful for mixed floors and protects most rugs during combined runs. Its roughly 0.2-inch lift is smaller than some premium rivals and may be insufficient for thick carpet.

Mop lifting was praised for its height in tests, but real rugs and medium-high carpet still produced mixed results.

The package includes the core setup tools, spare dust bag, and mopping hardware needed to start cleaning. Reviewers appreciated practical touches such as the included screwdriver and replacement bag.

Replacement accessories were appreciated when available, especially the product-specific kits noted by one reviewer.

Tangle resistance is one of the clearest strengths. Hair mainly collects at removable roller ends rather than wrapping tightly around bristles.

Tangle resistance was mostly positive thanks to detangling features, but long hair still caused problems in one review.

The S8+ cleans thicker carpet well, lifting hair and heavier dirt with its dual rollers. Deep debris can remain in dense fibers, so high-pile rugs may still need an occasional full-size vacuum pass.

One reviewer found high-pile or thick-rug vacuuming strong in a large-mess test.

Pet and human hair are removed efficiently from hard floors and deposited in the bin without frequent roller stops.

Hard-floor hair pickup was praised in a home test with dog hair.

The dock is a standard premium-robot size, but one reviewer found it light enough to slide around too easily and wanted a more stable base.

The base station’s footprint was a repeated drawback, with reviewers noting its large, less attractive, space-demanding design.

The sub-four-inch body and spring-loaded LiDAR housing help the robot travel under lower furniture with less risk of becoming trapped.

Under-furniture access was positive because the robot fits under most furniture.

The S8+ handles carpets and hard floors in one routine and stores multiple maps, but carrying it between stories limits truly whole-home automation.

The X10 is versatile for automated vacuuming and mopping, though not a full manual-vacuum replacement.

The robot itself handles many everyday particles well, but the dock can struggle to evacuate bulky mixtures such as rice and peas. Large litter spills may require manual emptying.

Large debris handling was mixed: some tests were good, while others found false positives, scattering, or leftover debris.

Daily work is low because the robot empties itself and resists tangles. Owners still need to wash pads, refill water, clean sensors and rollers, and replace bags and filters.

Maintenance was generally low and easy thanks to automation, though dirty tanks, dust clumps, and consumables still require attention.

Mapping is fast, accurate, and highly editable, with 2D/3D views, room divisions, routes, and no-go zones. Navigation remains reliable even in darkness, though one test rated it slightly below the older S7 MaxV.

Mapping and path efficiency were mostly strong, with quick, accurate mapping and efficient navigation, but one reviewer reported odd routing.

The 300ml tank is adequate for many apartments and covered nearly 1,000 square feet in one test, but larger homes may run it dry. Short runs may also benefit from pre-wetting the mop pad.

Water tank feedback was mixed: it supports hands-free cleaning, but handling and capacity were not perfect.

The dual rollers and strong suction remove carpet hair very effectively, with reviewers reporting less residue than competing robots.

Carpet hair pickup was a strong area, including pet-hair rankings and hands-on carpet hair collection.

The dock bag commonly lasts around seven weeks, and one long-term user reached roughly six months before it was about 70 percent full. Replacement bags add an ongoing cost, but emptying frequency is low.

The dust bag system was praised as very easy to change.

Oatmeal and other routine larger debris were collected very effectively on hard floors. Results are strongest during normal pickup; the auto-empty dock is less reliable with bulky mixed debris.

Hard-floor large-debris pickup was generally good in group and lab testing, with basic hard-surface pickup praised.

The consensus is strongly positive: reviewers see the S8+ as a reliable, highly capable daily cleaner. Praise is tempered by its high price, imperfect deep mopping, and loud emptying cycle.

Overall opinion was strongly positive, with reviewers repeatedly calling it a high-value, powerful, or top-notch robot despite caveats.

Pet owners benefit from strong hair pickup, tangle-resistant rollers, and generally good navigation around animals. The robot can still miss very small pet waste and may struggle when large litter spills reach the auto-empty path.

Pet-related feedback was positive, especially for pet hair, obstacle avoidance, and low-maintenance cleanup in homes with animals.

The S8+ reliably recognizes furniture, shoes, cords, toys, and pets and navigates well in darkness. It is not flawless with tiny pet waste or loose floor clutter, so clearing hazards remains wise.

Obstacle avoidance was one of the clearest strengths, repeatedly described as best-in-class or excellent.

Auto-emptying keeps routine dust handling contained and greatly reduces contact with the onboard bin. Bulky debris can still remain behind and require manual emptying.

Emptying and mess control was praised for hassle-free bagged dust disposal.

Reviewers like the sleek, modern appearance, matte details, and choice of colors. The glossy white top can accumulate visible scratches over time.

Design feedback was mixed: the robot/base were considered neatly put together, but the base was not especially attractive.

The dual rubber DuoRoller head is a standout strength, combining strong debris agitation with much less hair tangling than bristled designs.

The floorhead layout was seen as helpful for reaching trickier crevices.

Materials, fit, rollers, and dock construction are widely praised as solid and premium. Long-term use showed limited functional wear despite some cosmetic marks.

Build quality received clear praise from the TechRadar review.

At under four inches tall, the robot can reach beneath much furniture while the movable LiDAR cap reduces snagging risk.

Low-profile performance was positive, with the robot fitting under most furniture.

Auto-emptying is the most consistent noise complaint, with one test measuring around 80 dB. The burst is short but can be startling or annoying if triggered after every room.

Dock noise was mixed: auto-emptying was tolerable to one reviewer and loud or obnoxious to another.

The side brush reaches many corners and hard-to-access spots well, but the round mop body cannot fully scrub tight corner spills.

Corner cleaning was strong in the TechRadar review because the mops were pushed into corners and walls.

Sonic mopping is better than most basic drag-pad robots and works well on light grime and everyday kitchen messes. Sticky stains, narrow edges, and neglected spills still need repeated runs or a manual mop.

Mopping performance was the most consistently praised cleaning strength, especially on dried stains and sticky messes.

The wall sensor keeps the robot tracking closely and parallel to baseboards, supporting orderly edge coverage.

Edge-following was considered thorough, though slower.

Reviewers consistently praise the strong everyday suction, especially on sand, hair, and routine debris. One controlled test found the advertised 6,000 Pa did not translate into strong deep-groove extraction.

Reviewers generally found suction strong enough for everyday debris and pet hair, though lab-style power and crevice results were below average in some tests.

Replacement dock bags, brushes, filters, and mop pads create recurring costs. Reviewers viewed those expenses as the price of hands-off convenience rather than a deal-breaker.

Ongoing costs were a concern because bags and replacement consumables add expense and availability issues appeared in one review.

On suitable hard floors, reviewers observed a visibly clean, shiny finish with little manual effort.

One reviewer found the floors looked noticeably cleaner after repeated mopping.

The robot itself is usually considered quiet, with some reviewers calling it quieter than comparable flagships. Maximum suction and mopping can become noticeably louder.

Noise was acceptable during normal cleaning, but dock emptying and higher suction modes drew mixed reactions.

The S8+ generally outperforms many hybrids in suction, edge cleaning, hair handling, and mapping. Some tests found the S7 MaxV stronger on first-pass cleaning or object recognition, while premium rivals offer taller mop lift or fuller dock automation.

Comparisons generally positioned the X10 as a strong midrange value, though not always the absolute best against premium or newer rivals.

Scheduled vacuuming, mopping, mapping, and auto-emptying save substantial time and keep floors consistently presentable. Most manual work is limited to mop care, water, consumables, and occasional deep cleaning.

Reviewers praised the hands-off convenience and time savings of the automated floor-care system.

Several reviewers found edge pickup unusually strong for a round robot, with excellent cereal and dust collection. More demanding tests still left narrow strips or small debris beside baseboards.

Edge and baseboard cleaning was usually praised for edge-hugging mopping, though one reviewer found edging lacking.

The S8+ cannot clean stairs and must be carried between levels, so multi-story homes still need manual vacuuming and relocation.

The robot cannot clean stairs, so stair cleaning remains a clear limitation.

The Roborock app is one of the product's clearest strengths, offering detailed maps, room routines, schedules, no-go zones, carpet settings, and remote status. Reviewers found the automation powerful without being difficult to use.

Smart features and app automation were broad and useful, but app polish and occasional bugs kept the score from being uniformly high.

The app is generally clear and highly customizable, with room, zone, suction, mop, and map controls. Auto-empty scheduling is less flexible than some users would like.

The controls and interface were viewed positively overall, with flagship-level options and an easy app in stronger reviews.

Most reviewers consider the S8+ expensive, especially without a fully self-washing dock. Its strong vacuuming and convenience can justify the cost for larger mixed-floor homes, but smaller or budget-focused households may find it excessive.

Reviewers saw the price as comparatively attractive for the feature set, even while noting it remains an expensive appliance.

The robot usually returns and empties reliably, and the bag lasts for weeks. The dock handles dust, sand, flakes, and hair well but may leave bulky debris in the onboard bin.

Docking and auto-empty reliability was strong, with working bases, effective emptying, and reliable return-to-dock behavior.

Dock assembly is minor, and QR-code app setup and mapping usually take only a few minutes. Reviewers repeatedly describe the process as quick and painless.

Setup and app connection were easy in the reviews that discussed first use.

Battery endurance is strong, and the robot automatically returns, recharges, and resumes unfinished cleaning. Off-peak and faster-charging options add flexibility.

Battery feedback was decent to above average, though full vacuum-and-mop runs could exceed available runtime.

Low-pile carpet maintenance is generally excellent, with strong sand and hair collection. One demanding multi-pass test reached about 90 percent and still left some edge debris.

The app-based child lock is a practical family feature that disables the robot's physical controls and prevents accidental starts.

Cord management was a small drawback because one reviewer wanted rear cord storage.

Off-peak charging is a useful app option for shifting electricity use to cheaper hours, and faster charging helps reduce downtime.

The child lock is a useful family safeguard that prevents children from starting or changing the robot through its physical buttons.

Hot-air mop drying was viewed as helpful for reducing odor buildup.

Frequent automated cleaning helped one allergy sufferer keep floors cleaner and reduce exposure to accumulated irritants.

The glossy white finish developed noticeable scratches after about six months, although the robot still looked generally presentable.

Heavy-duty suitability is limited because reviewers still found manual cleanup better for specific spillages.

Surface safety feedback was positive, with one review calling it gentle on hardwood floors.

Detachable roller ends make wrapped-hair removal and routine brush maintenance straightforward.

The maintenance counter helps owners track filter life and decide when to wash or replace components.

Self-cleaning was effective overall, but one reviewer was nervous about the dock’s complexity.

After six months of daily use, the robot, rollers, and underside remained in good working condition. Cosmetic scratching was more noticeable than functional wear.

Privacy controls were mixed because local processing and blur were offset by camera concerns and limited security features.

A long-term owner reported no operational issues, and reviewers generally found daily navigation, docking, and scheduled cleaning dependable.

Value-for-money was one of the strongest themes, especially given the flagship-style dock, mopping, and obstacle avoidance.
