Bottom Line

Choose it for excellent hard-floor mopping, sustained suction and nearly tangle-free hair handling. Skip it if precise edge cleaning, quiet maximum-power operation or flagship value matters more.

Best for

Best for pet-heavy homes with mostly hard flooring or mixed floors where frequent mopping, low brush maintenance and strong automation matter most.

Not for

Skip it for carpet-dominant homes demanding the deepest agitation, tight spaces that expose navigation quirks, or buyers prioritizing quiet operation and maximum value.

Verdict

The Eufy S2 Omni is a premium robot built around three genuine strengths: sustained suction, an excellent self-cleaning roller mop, and unusually effective hair management. Across the supplied testing, it cleans hard floors exceptionally well, handles most rugs and carpet transitions confidently, and keeps its filter and brushes cleaner than typical designs. The UniClean station also delivers one of the most complete hands-off ownership experiences available. The tradeoffs are meaningful, however. Edge-following can leave gaps, maximum suction is loud, battery coverage drops sharply at higher power, and some navigation and smart-home controls trail leading rivals. Dried-stain results also vary from excellent in household tests to merely average in standardized testing. Its high price makes the most sense for pet-heavy, mostly hard-floor homes that will use the mop frequently.

Pros highlights

  • 4.6
    27 reviews strong consensus
Overall opinion: 4.6, 27 reviews, strong consensus
The S2 earns broad praise for suction, mopping, hair handling and dock automation. Its premium price, inconsistent edge work and uneven navigation keep it from being the best fit for every home.
  • 4.8
    23 reviews strong consensus
Mopping performance: 4.8, 23 reviews, strong consensus
Mopping is the product’s signature strength, producing clean, streak-free hard floors with continuous fresh water and firm downward pressure. Difficult grout and severe dried stains can still require manual work.
  • 4.4
    21 reviews moderate consensus
Odor control: 4.4, 21 reviews, moderate consensus
The fragrance system is polarizing: some homes noticed a pleasant, subtle freshness, while others could barely detect it. Dirty-water odors still require regular tank rinsing.
  • 4.9
    18 reviews strong consensus
    Hair‑Wrap / Tangle Resistance: 4.9, 18 reviews, strong consensus
Hair resistance is one of the strongest areas of agreement. The split DuoSpiral brush routinely finishes long-hair and pet-heavy cleaning with little or no wrapping.
  • 5.0
    17 reviews strong consensus
Suction and Airflow: 5.0, 17 reviews, strong consensus
Suction is the S2’s clearest strength, with strong pickup across hard floors, rugs and embedded carpet debris. Multiple long-term tests also found that airflow stayed consistent as the bin and filter accumulated dust.
  • 4.6
    17 reviews moderate consensus
Obstacle Avoidance (Robot): 4.6, 17 reviews, moderate consensus
Obstacle avoidance is usually excellent, including cords, pet waste and small household objects. A few tests still found collisions with dark items, toys or objects encountered immediately after a threshold.

Cons highlights

  • 2.9
    7 reviews low consensus
Support and Reliability: 2.9, 7 reviews, low consensus
Reliability is mixed: firmware support has been active, but early recall concerns and occasional app disconnects temper confidence. The short warranty also feels conservative for such an expensive machine.
  • 3.3
    6 reviews strong consensus
Price and Value: 3.3, 6 reviews, strong consensus
The flagship price is the most consistent hesitation. Strong cleaning and automation help justify it, but several less expensive robots deliver similar results in selected areas.
  • 2.7
    3 reviews strong consensus
Noise level: 2.7, 3 reviews, strong consensus
The robot is acceptable on lower settings but becomes noticeably loud at maximum suction. Buyers sensitive to noise will likely prefer scheduled daytime runs or reduced power.
  • 3.0
    3 reviews strong consensus
    Value-for-money: 3.0, 3 reviews, strong consensus
Value depends strongly on priorities. It makes sense for frequent hard-floor mopping and heavy hair, but cheaper robots can match parts of its performance with less maintenance.
  • 3.3
    3 reviews low consensus
Runtime: 3.3, 3 reviews, low consensus
Runtime ranges from adequate to disappointing depending on power level. Large homes may see a recharge interruption, especially when maximum suction is used.

FAQ

Is the Eufy S2 Omni good on carpets?

It is much better than the S1 generation on thick rugs and high-pile transitions, with strong suction and chassis lifting. Controlled tests still found deep agitation behind some carpet-focused rivals.

Does hair wrap around the brushes?

Hair resistance is one of its best traits. Long-hair and pet-heavy tests repeatedly found little or no wrapping around the DuoSpiral rollers.

How well does it mop dried stains?

It handles routine coffee, sauce, paw prints and jam well, often in one pass. More demanding standardized stain and grout tests were mixed, so occasional manual scrubbing remains necessary.

Does the fragrance system work?

Results vary. Some testers noticed a pleasant subtle scent, while others could barely smell it during or after cleaning.

Is the dock low maintenance?

The station reliably empties debris, washes and dries the roller, refills water and doses detergent. You still need to rinse the dirty-water tank and clean the roller tray periodically.

Is it worth the flagship price?

It is easiest to justify for frequent hard-floor mopping, pets and long hair. Buyers who mainly vacuum carpets or clean less often can find better value in cheaper models.
