Compare Eureka e10s Robot Vacuum vs iRobot Roomba Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo Essential, Y0140

Ease of use was generally strong thanks to simple setup, plug-and-play handling and accessible app controls.

Review evidence supports this scored attribute.

Dust containment was favorable in the evidence, with one comparison test reporting no particle increase and another praising allergen/fine-dust trapping.

Filtration gets a negative owner assessment because the small paper filter is treated as non-washable and likely to need replacement.

The mop-lifting system was a major selling point, praised for keeping carpets dry and enabling mixed-floor runs, though one review said lift height was too small.

The mop system does not lift or avoid carpet automatically, so reviewers warn that users must remove pads, block carpets, or risk wet rugs.

Innovation was praised for midrange features like bagless auto-empty and mop lifting, though one reviewer saw little benefit from LiDAR.

Innovation is rated poorly by an owner who expected new features and instead called the model a step back from older alternatives.

Pet hair performance was a standout in lab testing, with one review reporting very high pet-hair removal and easy cleanup of minor roller hair.

Pet suitability is mixed to weak: hair pickup can be decent, but reviewers warn the small bin and weak mapping make it poor for pet-heavy homes.

Under-furniture pickup was limited in one review because tricky spaces under a sofa still required manual attention.

Under-furniture pickup is praised because the low body gets under furniture and tight areas.

Clog and debris-prevention evidence was mixed-to-negative, with several reviewers reporting debris sticking, clogs or wire-related problems.

Debris and hair clog prevention is mostly positive, with reviewers noting stuck debris tools and husky hair not jamming the machine badly.

Fresh-spill mopping was only moderate, with reviewers saying it could handle light spills but struggled to do more than that.

Fresh liquid pickup is strong in the one direct test, where the robot sucked up apple juice without trouble.

Residue and streaking concerns appeared in litter and mopping evidence, with reviewers noting leftover cat litter and streaky water film.

Residue and smearing are mixed: reviewers report ketchup smearing and small remaining seeds, even though most messes were eventually cleared.

Map and path efficiency split reviewers: several praised LiDAR maps and methodical routes, while others saw forgotten maps, poor logic or slow paths.

Mapping and path efficiency are the clearest weaknesses; reviewers repeatedly mention no saved maps, poor navigation, missing rooms, and basic clean-history outlines.

Large debris handling was inconsistent, with positive cereal/pea pickups but complaints about extra-large debris, rice, kibble and crackers.

Large debris handling is good overall, with PCMag reporting competitive rice pickup on carpet and excellent hard-floor results.

The bagless bin was one of the most consistently praised features, valued for visibility, convenience and avoiding disposable bags.

The bin is easy enough to remove, but reviewers criticize its small capacity and the manual emptying burden, especially around pets or larger homes.

Handling was mixed: some reviews praised predictable movement and threshold handling, while others noted slow or inefficient navigation.

Handling is inconsistent, with good access to tight spaces offset by clumsy bumping, erratic behavior, and incomplete coverage.

Tool and pad changes were mixed, with easy side-brush or dustbin handling offset by complaints that the mop pad holder was difficult.

Tool and mode changes are straightforward when discussed, especially the mop plate clipping on easily.

Stain removal was split, with Vacuum Wars-style tests praising dried-stain performance while other reviewers said stubborn stains remained.

Review evidence supports this scored attribute.

Versatility evidence was positive where mentioned, with one review emphasizing a broad feature set for the price.

Versatility is real because it vacuums and mops, but reviewers stress that it is a better vacuum than mop and lacks the control to exploit both modes easily.

Overall opinion was mixed but leaned positive for everyday vacuuming and value, tempered by repeated complaints about mopping, navigation and maintenance.

Overall opinion is mixed across reviews, ranging from Editors' Choice praise to strong owner rejection based on price, mapping, and mopping limitations.

Packaging evidence was mixed: one reviewer warned the cardboard was flimsy, while another said the vacuum was well packaged.

Packaging receives one positive owner note for using cloth bags and less plastic.

The water tank was criticized as too small for larger mopping jobs.

The water tank works for basic mopping, but reviewers criticize the shared bin/tank space and the need to empty unused water after each job.

Area-rug handling was a common weakness, including rug transitions, bathroom rugs and mop pads collecting carpet dirt.

Rug handling is a major weakness because reviewers repeatedly say rugs or carpet must be removed, blocked off, or they may be mopped accidentally.

Hard-floor fine-dust pickup was mixed, ranging from strong test percentages to complaints about litter, flour or insufficient suction.

Fine dust pickup on hard floors is a bright spot, with strong sand pickup, fine-dust maintenance, and solid first-pass hard-floor cleaning.

Hair-wrap resistance was mixed, with some tangling on rollers or brush bearings despite acceptable pickup.

Hair-wrap resistance is generally positive, with reviewers saying pet hair did not tangle or jam the brushroll badly.

Heavy-duty suitability was limited; reviewers repeatedly said it was for routine upkeep rather than deep cleaning or demanding messes.

Heavy-duty suitability is poor because reviewers consistently say large homes, lots of debris, pets, or carpet-heavy environments overwhelm the simple design.

Hard-floor hair pickup was strong in the lab evidence, though tangles still occurred after pickup.

Hard-floor pet hair pickup is supported indirectly by a pet hair test, where the robot collected about 75% of laid-out hair.

Emptying and mess control was mixed: bagless emptying was often easy, but one review spilled rice and another wanted cleaner dust handling.

Emptying is simple in small spaces but not hands-off; reviewers praise easy bin removal while warning that manual emptying becomes irritating with pets, dust, or combo messes.

Obstacle avoidance was the most consistent weakness; reviewers repeatedly said cords, pet waste, small toys or low objects were not reliably avoided.

Obstacle avoidance is weak, with reviewers describing bumping, wedging, barriers, and a need to supervise or clear obstacles.

Carpet hair pickup was decent but not perfect in the budget comparison, with a small amount of hair left behind.

Carpet pet hair pickup is supported indirectly by the same pet-hair test, but the result is only average rather than excellent.

Hard-floor large-debris intake was mixed: some reviewers saw good crumb or cereal pickup, while others saw rice spread or kibble struggles.

Large debris pickup is generally strong, with reviewers citing high rice pickup, effective large-debris tests, and good dirt pickup.

Runtime was mixed-to-good, with praise for official or low-power endurance but shorter high-suction real-world coverage.

Runtime is a strength, with reviewers reporting around two hours and one measured 127-minute result.

Crevice pickup was good overall, with one lab review calling it exceptional and another describing the score as average.

Crevice and groove-style hard-floor pickup is supported by a broad hard-floor debris result, with TechRadar saying most debris came up on the first pass.

Small-space suitability was favorable for the compact base and ability to seek small spaces, while clutter could still cause problems.

Small-space suitability is one of the product's best-supported strengths, with multiple reviewers recommending it for apartments, small homes, or closed-off rooms.

Stuck resistance varied sharply, with some reviewers seeing frequent stuck events and others reporting the robot escaped or returned successfully.

Stuck resistance is inconsistent, with some successful escapes and rare sticking in simple rooms, but multiple reviewers report wedging, beaching, or odd stoppages.

Cord management received limited positive evidence for the dock’s ability to spool excess cable out of sight.

Cord management is helped by a cable tidy on the dock, which one reviewer says can prevent the robot from becoming tangled in spare cable.

Maintenance was a recurring caveat: reviewers liked bagless savings but noted filter cleaning, mop washing, hair removal and manual clearing.

Maintenance is one of the most consistent drawbacks: reviewers mention manual dustbin emptying, water tank emptying, filter care, replacement parts, and obstacle prep.

The liquid system was basic and uneven, with reviewers pointing to water-only operation, limited pad wetness and a simple wet-cloth approach.

The liquid system is limited by water-only mopping and no detergent, though one owner liked that it uses an electric pump instead of passive dripping.

Included accessories were viewed positively because the package supplied the basics needed to start cleaning immediately.

The onboard accessories are praised when mentioned, especially the integrated brush/slicer tool that makes cleanup feel thoughtfully designed.

Low-profile design was mixed-to-negative because the LiDAR turret and taller body could limit access under lower furniture.

The low-profile body is praised because it lets the robot get under low furniture and other tight spaces.

Build quality received strong lab-review praise, especially for the body and dustbin components.

Build quality is mixed: one reviewer calls it well made, while another notes visible battle damage, scuffs, and scratches from normal navigation.

The dual-brush floorhead was generally praised for moving debris toward the intake and improving cleaning coverage.

Floorhead design is mixed: reviewers like that the brushroll is easy to clean, but note the single bristle roller is less capable than iRobot's dual rubber rollers.

Design sentiment was mostly positive for the sleek finish and premium-looking materials, though clear debris visibility divided opinions.

Design impressions are generally positive for build and finish, though one reviewer only frames the appeal as shiny/new rather than functionally advanced.

Controls and UI were generally praised for app-based zones, schedules and simple controls, though some app inconsistency appeared elsewhere.

Controls and UI are easy to understand but shallow, with several reviewers describing the app as intuitive yet very basic or limited.

Smart/app automation was mixed: reviewers liked schedules, maps and app features, but several reported bugs, forgotten maps or unreliable zones.

App and automation support are useful for scheduling, voice control, remote starts, and basic automation, but reviewers repeatedly criticize the limited controls, no saved maps, and missing no-go zones.

Ownership cost was a strength because reviewers repeatedly praised the bagless system for reducing or eliminating disposable bag costs.

Ownership costs are moderate but real because reviewers point to replacement filters, side brushes, mop pads, and spare pads available for purchase.

Cleaning convenience was generally positive, especially for scheduling and routine upkeep, but not fully hands-free.

Cleaning convenience is context-dependent: it can save time in small spaces, but missing maps, manual maintenance, and carpet barriers reduce convenience.

Noise opinions were mixed: some reviewers called it quiet or less disruptive, while others found max suction and dock emptying loud.

Noise is generally acceptable, with owner reviews calling it quiet or not very loud compared with a regular vacuum.

Comparative performance was mixed: some tests placed it favorably for the price, while others found cheaper or rival robots matched or beat it.

Comparative performance is split: reviewers praise hard-floor and dirt pickup against pricier robots, but several say other budget or higher-end robots offer better mapping and features.

Reviewers generally found suction strong enough for daily debris, hair and crumbs, but several noted weaker bench results or that low suction/high-demand debris could fall short.

Suction and dirt pickup are broadly good for the price, although reviewers note it still lacks the power for deeper carpet cleaning.

Mopping performance was strongly mixed: some tests found it above average or excellent, while many home reviewers called it basic or mediocre.

Mopping is mixed: some reviewers find it surprisingly good for light maintenance, while others say it only does okay work and lacks scrubbing or detergent.

Reliability concerns centered on missed stuck alerts, app disconnects, map issues and low-object avoidance limitations.

Support and reliability has limited evidence, but Reviewed positively notes the clear warranty policy.

Value-for-money was strong when reviewers focused on sale pricing, bagless savings and premium-like features at midrange cost.

Value-for-money is mixed: professional reviewers praise the discount-friendly budget value, while owner reviewers say it is not worth the asking price.

Docking and auto-empty reliability was mixed: several reviewers praised docking and no clogs, while others found incomplete emptying or failed return-to-base behavior.

Review evidence supports this scored attribute.

Value was mixed-to-positive: many considered it compelling at sale or midrange prices, while one reviewer saw little advantage over cheaper robots.

Price and value split reviewers sharply; pro reviews like the affordable feature set, while owner reviews say the price is too high for the limited mapping.

Setup was consistently described as quick, simple or easy across multiple reviews.

Setup ranges from very easy in professional reviews to somewhat tricky in one owner review, with the strongest praise for fast app setup and clear instructions.

Battery and charging evidence was mixed-to-positive, with efficient use in some tests but shorter practical high-suction coverage in others.

Battery life is viewed favorably, with reviewers reporting about two hours of operation and PCMag exceeding the stated runtime in testing.

Airflow blowback was positive where tested, with reviewers noting it did not blow hair around.

Corner cleaning was mixed, with side brushes helping but multiple reviewers still finding corners or tight areas beyond reach.

Dock noise was a downside, with auto-emptying described as loud or louder even when effective.

Edge and baseboard cleaning was inconsistent, with lab tests and home use noting missed edge coverage despite some side-brush help.

Edge-following accuracy was inconsistent: one lab review saw poor wall coverage, while others praised accurate or good coverage.

Self-cleaning was a weakness because reviewers noted the base does not clean the mop head or pad.

High-pile carpet pickup was generally good for routine cleaning, though deep-clean results were only average or slightly below.

Low-pile carpet pickup was a strength in testing and reviewer impressions.

Only one review gives pile-specific evidence, noting plush carpet caused the mop section to catch, making medium/plush carpet handling merely average.

Cord length receives a clear negative mention from TechRadar, which found the dock cable too short for the required placement.

Kid-friendliness is a concern in one owner review, which worries that items left out by children could be hit and toppled.

Onboard tool storage is praised through the built-in brush/slicer tool clipped into the removable bin area.

Scratch resistance is mixed because the robot gets under furniture, but one reviewer found the top scratched from doing so.

The dock footprint was treated positively where mentioned, with reviewers liking the compact, powerful station.

Surface safety is a concern for messy mop jobs because ketchup reached the wheels and could be tracked around the house.

Durability evidence is limited but negative where available, with one reviewer noting scuffs and scratches on the front after use.

Privacy controls receive one clear positive mention because Reviewed praises iRobot's robust data privacy policy.

Software-update support had limited positive evidence from one reviewer who liked the software updates after earlier testing.
