Area-rug performance was praised strongly in the dedicated rug test.

Area-rug handling benefits from height adjustment and was described as easy on low-pile rugs.

High-pile and thick-carpet feedback was notably better, with one lab test scoring above average and another reviewer praising deep carpet pickup.

High-pile evidence is cautiously positive for a budget vacuum, with above-average lab results but clear limits on shaggy rugs.

Dust containment evidence conflicted, with one review criticizing the unsealed system while another found it unlikely to worsen sensitivity issues.

Filtration evidence is split: one lab found strong particle containment and owners saw little dust escaping, but other reviewers criticized the lack of HEPA or sealing.

Low-pile or standard carpet results ranged from poor lab performance to very strong owner demonstrations, making this a mixed attribute.

Low-pile carpet pickup is a consistent strength, with reviewers calling it solid, effective, and good for carpet dirt and hair.

Reach was mixed: one reviewer liked the hose for counter-height cleaning, while others wished the wand or hose were longer.

Hose length is mixed: some reviewers liked the reach with wand/hose use, while one called the hose really short.

Maintenance feedback was mixed, with one review frustrated by a non-removable brush roll and another liking how simple filter access was.

Small-space suitability was a consistent bright spot, especially for dorm rooms, first apartments, or simple apartment cleaning.

One lab review positioned it as suitable for small spaces with simple debris challenges.

The vacuum was broadly praised as lightweight, although two reviews noted that carpet suction or awkward handling can make it feel heavier in use.

Cord management received a positive mention for the wrap hooks keeping the cord tidy.

Cord management feedback is positive but limited, with reviewers liking the hook and the way the cord stays in place.

Only one reviewer evaluated noise directly and praised the vacuum as quieter than other vacuums they had used.

Noise feedback is mixed: one test called it still noisy and another pet list noted louder operation, while one owner said it was not super loud.

Reviewers generally found the AirSpeed strong for its size and price, with measured airflow and repeated praise for suction, though one budget roundup still placed it below pricier uprights.

Edge cleaning varied sharply, with budget testing saying it missed edges and one demonstration saying it cleaned right to the edge.

Edge and baseboard performance is mixed: tests found mediocre wall pickup, while one owner liked using attachments for baseboards and harder-to-reach areas.

In one standardized pickup test it was acceptable but clearly not among the best performers.

In one budget upright comparison, the Eureka was not the clear winner, with the Shark Navigator performing best overall.

One reviewer praised the included second filter as a nice ownership touch.

Washable filters were viewed as reducing replacement and maintenance costs.

Value depended heavily on price: some called it one of the best cheap uprights, while others said full list price made it less compelling.

Value is a major strength, with multiple reviewers calling it a strong buy or unusually capable for a low price.

One owner-style review said assembly and setup were very easy.

Setup was described as very easy, with assembly taking under a minute or pieces simply popping into place.

One long-term owner reported no issues after about a year and a half of frequent family use.

Floorhead feedback is mixed: one review praised brush agitation, while lab testing found the cleaner head plowed material and hurt pickup.

Controls were consistently described as simple, especially the foot-style power control and basic operation.

Controls are mixed: foot controls and height adjustment were liked, but some reviewers disliked bending down or being unable to stop the brush bar.
