Compare Shark HydroVac Cordless Vacuum vs Ultenic Cordless Vacuum Mop All in One Combo, AC1 Elite

Ease of use was a consistent strength across setup, daily cleaning, steering, controls, and overall simplicity.

Ease of use was generally strong, with reviewers calling the AC1 easy, effortless, and low-labor after setup.

The accessory package drew a complaint because one reviewer wanted a dedicated tool for removing gross debris from the dirty tank.

Included accessories were useful, especially the cleaning brush and filter, with reviewers appreciating tools that reach tank and roller crevices.

Water tank feedback was mixed: some reviewers had enough water for a cycle, while others found the clean and dirty tanks small.

Water-tank feedback was positive, with reviewers praising the dual-tank design and large one-liter capacity.

Innovation was limited: reviewers described some models as entry-level, old, or broadly similar to other wet-dry vacuums despite useful updates.

Compared with a named alternative, one reviewer saw the AC1 as having the more unique design.

Emptying and mess control were major drawbacks, with dirty tanks described as gross, unpleasant, or the worst part of use.

Emptying was mixed: the separator could make the process easier, but another reviewer called the dirty-water tank messy.

Odor control was positive after self-cleaning in some homes, but one review warned that a wet roller could cause mold and odor without drying.

Odor control was a weakness when the dirty-water tank was not emptied quickly.

Storage was a mild drawback because the unit needs upright room, a base, and in some reviews extra space for rollers or accessories.

Storage feedback was mixed: reviewers liked upright standing and the base, but one found docking the vacuum a bit of a struggle.

Bin and separator feedback was split: one reviewer liked improved solids/liquid separation, while another found debris removal too hands-on and messy.

The dirty-water and solids separation design was praised as unique and easy to use.

Hair-removal channel issues appeared in tests where wet pet-hair clumps caught behind the roller.

Hair-removal channel evidence was a mild concern because pet hair still had to be pulled off after self-cleaning.

Runtime was mixed: some reviewers felt it was enough for typical hard-floor areas, while others recorded or described short 15-20 minute use.

Runtime was consistently praised, with reviewers describing whole-home cleaning, favorable cordless comparisons, and little battery loss.

Area rug handling was one of the weakest areas, generally useful only for a damp light refresh rather than real rug cleaning.

Area rug handling was negative because multiple reviews warned that the machine is for hard floors, not carpets or rugs.

Streaking was mostly positive, with several reviewers reporting no streaks, but one white-tile test found dirty streaking.

Residue and finish were positive in one review that reported a shiny, clean floor after use.

Versatility was strongest across hard-floor types, while rug use remained more of a light refresh than a replacement for carpet cleaning.

Versatility was strongly praised because the AC1 combines vacuuming, mopping, liquid pickup, and self-cleaning in one machine.

Maintenance was polarized: self-cleaning reduced effort, but dirty tanks, rollers, filters, and squeegee areas still required messy hand cleaning.

Maintenance was easier than many alternatives but not effortless, with reviewers still needing to rinse, dry, and empty parts.

Large debris results varied widely: oatmeal and some Cheerios were handled well, but cereal tests also exposed intake and clogging problems.

Large debris intake was positive in one review that reported visible dirt and debris were picked up.

Hard floors usually dried quickly, although some tests still described the floor or rugs as damp.

Floor drying was positive in one review, which said floors were clean and dry quickly.

Pet hair pickup on hard floors impressed one multi-pet tester, though the same pet debris made dirty-tank cleanup especially unpleasant.

Pet evidence was positive overall: reviewers described the AC1 as strong for pet owners and dog hair, though one noted pet hair can require post-cleaning brush work.

Dried-on stain removal was strong overall, though the hardest ketchup-type messes needed repeated passes.

Stain and tougher soil evidence was mixed: one reviewer saw tile improve dramatically after several passes, while another said it was not as good as a scrubbing mop.

Weight was a consistent strength, with reviewers calling it light or lighter than comparable wet-dry cleaners.

Weight was mixed: several reviewers found it light enough or easier than prior wet/dry vacuums, while others called it heavy.

Small-space suitability was supported by easy maneuvering into tight spaces.

Small-space suitability was positive despite dock needs, with reviewers calling it compact or useful for homes lacking space.

Heavy-duty suitability was limited by small tanks, maintenance needs, and weaker handling of large wet material or whole-home replacement duties.

Heavy-duty suitability was mixed: one review discouraged very messy spaghetti-style cleanup, while another found thick spills and debris were handled within a couple passes.

Maneuverability was a strength, with smooth swivels, easy steering, and relatively light handling, though some body limits remained.

Handling was mixed: reviewers liked the self-driven movement and easy rolling, but some found the forward pull or weight awkward.

Cordless use was praised for grab-and-go convenience and avoiding cord management during hard-floor cleaning.

Cordless convenience was praised in one review as part of the vacuum being effortless to handle.

Fresh liquid and wet mess pickup was one of the strongest areas, with reviewers praising quick passes through mud, soda, and liquid-heavy tests.

Fresh liquid pickup was consistently praised, with reviewers saying spills were handled quickly and made kitchen cleanup easier.

Fine dust pickup on hard floors was praised through the soft brush design, which reviewers said was excellent for dust and fine debris.

Fine debris pickup on hard floors was positive, with reviewers praising flour and dry-debris cleanup.

The liquid system was praised for regulated water flow and low water use, but criticized in one review for less efficient extraction on white tile.

Liquid-system feedback was mixed: the cleaning solution and water filling could be easy or powerful, but solution availability and filling difficulty were concerns.

Hard-floor groove and textured-surface cleaning was positive in one review where ridged bathroom tile performed better than expected.

Groove pickup evidence was positive in one review where the grout cleaned up noticeably.

The self-propelled pull helped make pushing the unit easier in one review.

The self-propel feature was usually praised for reducing effort, although one reviewer found the forward momentum required some resistance.

Under-furniture cleaning was limited by the bulky, non-flat head/body design.

Under-furniture pickup was limited because the vacuum could not lie flat enough to reach under a sofa.

Reviewers generally found suction adequate for wet hard-floor cleaning, but several said raw vacuuming power was average or below dedicated vacuums, especially on carpets and rugs.

Reviewers praised suction as efficient and powerful, especially on hard-floor filth and spills, with one external user-summary quote also highlighting impressive suction.

Edge and baseboard cleaning was a repeated limitation, with reviewers saying competing models or traditional mops reached closer to walls and corners.

Edge and corner cleaning was positive, with reviewers saying it got into corners and cleaned nearly to the right edge.

Comparisons were mixed: the HydroVac often won on convenience, price, and features, but lost to some rivals on power, edge cleaning, or advanced tech.

Comparative performance was positive, with reviewers finding the AC1 better value than a named competitor and at least as effective as a previous wet/dry vacuum.

The self-cleaning cycle was a major convenience, though several reviewers still recommended manual drying or noted no roller-drying area.

The self-cleaning cycle was broadly praised as time-saving and low-effort, though one reviewer said it did not leave the roller perfectly dry.

Mopping performance was the clearest strength, with most reviewers praising hard-floor cleaning, spill pickup, polishing, and stain removal.

Mopping performance was one of the strongest attributes, with every review giving positive hard-floor cleaning or mopping outcomes.

Ownership costs were a caveat because one review noted Shark recommends periodic filter and brush-roll replacement.

Ownership-cost evidence was negative around the branded cleaning solution, which one reviewer could not find for sale.

Noise was a recurring weakness: some comparisons favored the Shark over louder corded rivals, but several reviewers measured or described it as loud and high-pitched.

Noise was mixed to negative: the cleaning cycle and voice prompts were described as noisy or loud, though one review noted alerts can be turned off.

Floorhead design helped some hard-floor pickup but also caused large-debris and edge-cleaning limits due to gap height and head geometry.

Floorhead design drew positive comments for its thoughtful construction and soft fuzzy roller.

Build quality received positive but limited support, with one reviewer describing it as well-made and in line with Shark expectations.

Build and durability impressions were positive, with reviewers describing the unit as sturdy, thoughtfully designed, and high quality.

Reviewers liked the modern styling, color scheme, and rose-gold or Dyson-like finish on newer HydroVac versions.

Design impressions were positive, with reviewers calling the machine futuristic, unique, funky, and visually distinctive.

Low-profile design was weak because the unit could not lay flat and struggled under low furniture or tables.

Low-profile reach was poor because the vacuum could not be laid completely flat.

Controls were simple and sometimes useful, but basic indicators, accidental button presses, and lack of advanced displays limited enthusiasm.

Controls and display were usually praised as intuitive, clear, and easy to read, though one video reviewer struggled to find the power controls during setup.

Charging-base feedback was positive in the one scored review, where docking automatically started charging.

Battery and charging evidence was positive, with reviewers appreciating ready charging and one reporting a full charge within an hour.

Value was usually positive because the HydroVac cleans well for less than many premium wet-dry rivals, though one reviewer still called it pricey versus simple mops.

Most value judgments were positive, especially for features and hard-floor performance, but one reviewer noted it was pricier than non-wet stick vacuums.

Setup was consistently easy, with reviewers describing quick handle insertion, simple docking, and click-and-lock assembly.

Setup was mostly described as quick and simple, though one video unboxing found the process confusing and complicated.

Smart and app features were split: automatic dirt/mop detection was praised, while app setup and usefulness were recurring weak points.

Low-pile carpet and rug pickup was weak to mixed, with visible debris left behind or only partial pickup on short rugs.

Large dry debris could clog or fail to pass under the head, especially Cheerios and wet pet-hair clumps.

Debris illumination was helpful in most reviews with bright or useful lights, though one reviewer found the lights too weak to reveal dirt.

A reviewer reacted positively to the built-in tank filter, but filtration evidence was limited to that design impression rather than measured dust containment.

A soft brush seal helped the HydroVac conform to hard-floor debris without losing pickup contact.

Carpet hair pickup disappointed one reviewer because visible pet hair remained on the rug.

Hair-wrap resistance was mixed because one pet-owning reviewer still had to remove extra hair after self-cleaning.

Headlights received split feedback: some found them useful for spotting dirt, while one reviewer thought they were too weak.

Kid-friendliness was supported by one reviewer who expected households with children to appreciate the extra cleaning mode.

Onboard storage was praised for keeping the spare filter, cleaning brush, and roller organized.
